Meet Endinako
“He helps me with chores around the house, and he’ll do the dishes, but he’s a naughty one!” Lucy, Endinako’s grandmother, said with a little laugh in her eyes. Endinako, or Endi, is a bundle of energy and loves to play around the house. That came to an end the day he fell and broke his wrist. A local hospital was able to treat him but did not set his bone properly, causing his arm to heal with an unnatural bend that kept him from using it. If untreated, it will limit the opportunities he has for his future. Endi told us he wants to be a policeman when he gets older, a dream that will be difficult to achieve without two functioning arms and wrists.
Thankfully, CURE Zimbabwe stepped in to provide corrective surgery. After his doctors prayed over him, Endi went into surgery with no fear. During his recovery, he received daily support and even learned some new worship songs with our spiritual director, Jorum. Today, his arm is straight and continuing to heal. Grandma Lucy assures us that Endi is back to his energetic, mischievous ways.
